Lazy Day

Posted on Updated on

With the wind howling and the rain falling, the first problem of the day was getting up, which we didn’t manage until about 10:00.  It was sill blowing 25 knots over the deck at 12:00. Apart from walking into town, we have done nothing but read and plan tomorrow!!

When we arrived yesterday, at about half-tide, we only had 1.1m under the keel which led me worry if we would bottom out at low tide.  Imagine my surprise when a bit of checking revealed that the tide range here is only about 1m.

Another bit of research educated us that the water-level walkway is famous and known as the Gobbins.  We’ll be back to walk that when it’s open.

The Gobbins.  If you look carefully, you can see six, or seven, bridges

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary.  I will need to be imaginative.  Fingers crossed
