A wonderful day for an anniversary

Brunch onboard Tiftie on our 8th wedding anniversary

The forecast wasn’t so good, but, once we left Ballycastle where it was very overcast, we soon moved into bright sunshine on a perfect sail over to Islay.  And what a lovely island this is with such a lovely name.  Ian’s youngest whom haven’t yet met, is named Isla, spelt slightly differently, but pronounced the same.

Before arriving, I telephoned ahead to book a table at a local seafood restaurant – “Seasalt”.  And we weren’t disappointed .  Fantastic food at the end of a beautiful day.  There are 8 whiskey distilleries on Islay, which, with a population of only about 4000 must take some drinking

Off out for a meal at Port Ellen, Islay
